Organ Recipient – Jerry Cahill

We had the honor to present Jerry Cahill with a check from our Michael J. Ruotolo Foundation
a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit in the State of New Jersey.
Jerry was born in 1956 in Brooklyn, New York. At age 10 Jerry was diagnosed with CF, he spent most of his time in and out of the hospital. He graduated Xaverian high school where he took up track and field. Than went on to University of Connecticut where he pole vaulted and ran track. He is very athletic, ran 3 marathons and continues to work out, swim, and bike. He practices yoga and has a very positive outlook on life.
Jerry became Vice President of Joseph Aboud men’s clothing line.
Days after Liver and Kidney Transplant
Nine years ago Jerry received a double lung transplant. He is now an advocate and public speaker for the Boomer Esiason Foundation. As years went on Jerry’s organs began to fail, leading him to need a liver and kidney transplant this past July.
Jerry is a true fighter and we wish him all the best.
